David has been a procurement and supply chain professional since 1987 with expertise in oil and gas, minerals processing and public sector procurement and logistics. He is a keen advocate of the purchasing and supply profession and has been actively involved in purchasing member associations since 1987, including acting as past state president of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing Supply (CIPS).
David’s experience encompasses all facets of strategic sourcing, contracting and transactional procurement, across operations, maintenance and major capital project environments. He also brings a unique other side perspective to bid response work.
David has a Masters of Business Administration and a First Class Honours Mechanical Engineering degree.
Nigel has been involved in over 1000 tender responses, grant applications and funding submissions since 1994. He has helped organisations win hundreds of bids and billions of contract dollars across most industries. He is absolutely passionate about tenders and knows what it takes to win.
With a unique blend of strategic, business, marketing, technical and persuasive writing skills, he is considered a leading consultant in this field in Australia. He started the Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) Chapter in Australia and New Zealand in 2008 and has served on the chapter board every year since then. In 2010 was the first Australian to be appointed to the international APMP Board of Directors. He is currently the APMP Regional Director Asia/Australasia.
Nigel has an honours degree in engineering, a Masters of Business Administration (major in marketing), is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and has achieved Accredited Practitioner status with the APMP. Under the pseudonym of “Deadline Dingo” Nigel also writes a regular column for the APMP’s international “Perspective” magazine, which is published quarterly.
David excels at building lasting relationships with clients and colleagues. As a result he has become a highly respected bid consultant in the time he has been at Bid Write. One of his key strengths is his ability to quickly undertand the key drivers in a business – a skill that has proven invaluable when articulating competitive advatange and major strategy in bid situations.
He is also an experienced senior manager in the fields of systems engineering, sustainment logistics and workforce management, with a strong background in aerospace, defence and system engineering.
Successful outcomes have been achieved in a broad range of disciplines including program management, program and engineering analysis and review, strategy development, organisational development and business improvement.
David has a Master of Engineering (Environmental Engineering), a Master of Engineering Science (Computing and Communication) and a Bachelor of Engineering (Electronics).
In her 12 years managing high level communications projects for both State Government and private organisations, Kelly has developed excellent strategic writing skills and a keen eye for detail. She has extensive experience on both sides of the “Bidding Coin” having issued, assessed and written tender, grant and award submissions both inside and to government. As a result, she has an excellent insight and understanding to concise, compliant and strategic bidding.
Kelly has a degree in public relations and sociology. She particularly enjoys working closely with clients to improve their tender processes.
Cathlin has 13 years experience in marketing and sales focusing on direct marketing and sales, business development and managing consumer promotional campaigns for large corporates. Most recently she worked as a Bid Centre Coordinator for an integrated facilities management company leading to a new passion for the tendering environment.
Cathlin has an honours degree in commerce majoring in marketing management and loves the diversity of working across a wide variety of industries.
