November 24th, 2017

Nicole Kelly | Bid Coordinator | CF APMP

What is your career background and how did you get into the tender/proposal industry?

I began my career 7 years ago in the construction industry where I was first exposed to bids, tenders and proposals. I began assisting a bid manager editing documents, this developed into Submissions Assistant role, before I ended up at my current position with BidWrite.

I achieved APMP Foundation Level Certification in May, 2016.

Have you had any proud moments or achievements so far in your career?

Seeing small businesses grow due to our contribution is always exhilarating and motivates me to strive for success every day.

Recently, we helped a client submit a tender that was fundamental to their business, they ended up winning and meant they were able to continue trading.

Every time we win a proposal with a client it is an achievement.

What do you enjoy most about tendering and proposal writing?

I am presented with new challenges and the opportunity to learn and grow every day. My skills are constantly evolving, which makes every day exciting.

What do you love most about being part of the team at BidWrite?

BidWrite is unlike anywhere else I have worked before. We have a great organisational culture that encourages us to ask questions and learn from each other without prejudice.

Can you describe yourself in 3 words?

Friendly, responsible, dedicated.

If you could do another job just for a day, what would it be? (and why?)

If I had to do another job for a day it would be something in the mental health field. I would love to be able to help people deal with their mental health issues and contribute to making their lives easier.

Do you have a favourite quote or motto?

“What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us” – Ralph Waldo Emerson.
