The APMP Certification program is the only globally recognised professional qualification specifically designed for proposal management professionals. Delivered face-to-face over one full day, this training workshop helps candidates prepare for the APMP Foundation level examination, covering all the content as approved by the APMP.

This workshop is aimed at those who have at least one year’s experience working in a bids or proposals environment (this is an entry requirement for the APMP exam), as well as experienced bid managers who wish to progress to the APMP Practitioner and APMP Professional levels.

Workshop Content and Structure

The workshop will lead you through APMP’s syllabus, maximising your chance of passing the exam. The course covers each of the five APMP key competency areas in turn:

1. Information Research and Management
2. Scheduling
3. Development
4. Management
5. Sales Orientation

A PDF version of the course workbook (the slides) will be emailed prior to the workshop.

At the end of the workshop, you’ll be given the option to sit the Foundation exam (one hour, 75 questions, multiple choice). This will be done online, so please bring your laptop with you.

The ticket price for the workshop includes the APMP exam fee, trainer fees, course workbook, and full catering. Please note that APMP membership is a prerequisite for being able to register at the price listed. APMP membership is NOT included in the ticket price but can be purchased separately online at www.apmp.org (USD$170). Your APMP membership number will be required during the booking process.

Workshop Presenter

The workshop is presented by BidWrite’s co-founder, Nigel Dennis. Nigel has arguably done more to shape the landscape of bidding professionalism in the region than any other person. He started the APMP Australia New Zealand Chapter in 2008 and was the first Australian to achieve APMP Professional certification. In 2015 he was inducted as an APMP Fellow for services to the profession. He is the only Australian with this honour and one of only 101 people worldwide. With degrees in engineering and business, and with bidding experience of 27 years, he is a strong advocate for development of the proposal profession.
