BidWrite helps NSM win major defence contract

This week the Commonwealth announced that Naval Ship Management (NSM), headquartered in Western Australia, has been awarded the $1.5billion contract to support and sustain Australia’s largest warships – the Landing Helicopter Dock ships (LHDs) HMAS Adelaide and HMAS Canberra.

Earlier this year, BidWrite supported NSM by providing a team of tendering specialists to help win this important contract for the provision of engineering, maintenance, supply support and asset management services for the two LHDs and 12 landing craft.

These services will be provided within a collaborative enterprise comprising the Commonwealth, Navy, NSM and industry.

Dave Lunn, BidWrite’s Chief Operating Officer stated, “As a fellow WA-based company, we are proud to have helped win this major contract and wish NSM every success in delivering the best outcomes for the Navy and Australian industry.

“BidWrite was privileged to see at first-hand NSM’s technical excellence, and its commitment to collaboration and Australian industry development.

“This announcement is also a great achievement for Australian small-medium enterprises and the opportunities that will follow,” he said.
